Beskrivning
30 years of freedom have not only changed the situation and possibilities for the three Baltic countries themselves, but also the conditions for European integration and cooperation. For the Baltic countries the liberalization, together with the EU membership, have obviously led to a tremendous transformation. But it has also led to a possibility to further unify Europe, and to integrate the countries in our democratic Europe. For the European Union this enlargement thus has been very important. For neighboring countries in the Baltic region the developments during the period have got even further, and resulted in a both deep and broad integration.
This event will focus on the future. We will discuss achievements as well as challenges. Representatives for the three countries and for the European Commission will give their perspectives on the development up until now, but also on future possibilities and threats. We will discuss common interests, cooperation, and capabilities.
